At our recent Oregon NOW Annual Meeting, we honored Indigenous women and girls through the Red Shawl Solidarity Project and the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians CARE Program, remembering those who have gone missing or been murdered and serving those currently needing support.
Today, we stand in solidarity with Indigenous women across Oregon and beyond — visible, valued, and never forgotten. Their lives, leadership, and resilience inspire our work to end violence against women everywhere. In fact two of our board members are proud tribal members of the Ojibwe Tribe and also the Seaconke Wampanoag Tribe.

On Indigenous People’s Day, Oregon NOW honors the Indigenous women who have carried wisdom, resistance, and renewal through generations.
Across this land, Indigenous women have led efforts to defend water, language, land, and life itself — even while facing disproportionate rates of violence, poverty, and erasure.
We honor the matriarchs, aunties, and daughters whose visibility and thriving is an act of survival — and whose voices guide the way toward justice.
