I’m excited to smash the patriarchy with you!

Hello amazing NOW members in Oregon,

I am wildly excited to join Oregon NOW as the new Executive Director! And I am happy I got to meet some of you at this year’s Annual Conference and Meeting!

Coming with experience in legislation, advocacy, coalition building, and community organizing, I am ready to jump in and support all of your efforts, campaigns, and ideas. My goal with everything I do is to fight for self-determination and collective power by meaningfully involving those most impacted by decisions in the decision-making process and by centering the voices and visions of people who have been marginalized. I look forward to contributing to NOW’s history of grassroots activism for equity and intersectional feminism.

P.S. If you live in the Portland area, I encourage you to register for White Supremacy in Oregon: History and Current Issues, a six-week course beginning on May 1 from 7-9 pm at Taborspace in Portland. Follow this link for a week-by-week course description and to register. Now more than ever, it’s imperative that we collectively build an understanding of how Oregon’s whiteness, historically and today, has functioned, so that we can move forward to develop a better future for us all. We hope you’ll join us for this important class!
